DETROIT, Mich. (March 15, 2024) – To expand its social media presence with captivating content, the Chevy Detroit Grand Prix powered by Lear has partnered with KARMA jack, a leading Detroit-based creative marketing agency, to oversee its social media platforms and content creation in anticipation of this summer’s event in Downtown Detroit.

Through the strategic partnership, KARMA jack, the Detroit Grand Prix, and Gardner White have joined forces to attract new fans to the event and educate followers with an exciting content strategy, telling the story of the Motor City, its local businesses, and most importantly–its people.

“To say we’re honored to work with the Detroit Grand Prix would be an understatement,” said Jono Diener, Creative Director of KARMA jack. “Our team traveling around Detroit and giving fans a behind the scenes look at something of this magnitude is mind-blowingly fun for all of us. We love using the Motor City as our playground.”

As part of KARMA jack’s Good KARMA program, the agency is donating to Empower Plan, a Detroit nonprofit that works to produce durable and innovative coats that transform into a sleeping bag for the unhoused. The organization also provides employment and training for individuals experiencing homelessness.

“As an organization, we’re very passionate about Detroit and spreading the word about Southeast Michigan in general,” said Joel Sellentine, President of KARMA jack. “So having the opportunity to connect Gardner White, a family-owned institution for over 100 years with the Detroit Grand Prix is pretty awesome for our team. Now our creatives get to play.”

The 34th Grand Prix event in the City’s history will return to the 1.7-mile, nine-turn Streets of Downtown Detroit circuit that runs along the award-winning Detroit Riverwalk, May 31-June 2, 2024.

“This is an exciting partnership that brings together two iconic Detroit brands. It made sense to introduce a program where we pool our resources to meet our fans in a space where they are consuming much of their Grand Prix content,” said Michael Montri, President of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear. “We are always looking for new ways to drive engagement and pique fan interest and then layer that into our brand strategies. This was a perfect synergy to immerse fans in our unique racing culture and attract new customers for Gardner-White.”

With content ranging from historical throwbacks, to real-time developments and press, the Detroit Grand Prix social media will be an ever-evolving resource for anyone interested in INDYCAR, IMSA, and of course, Detroit.
