KARMA jack presents at Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear Social Media Summit live at Gardner White
On Thursday, April 18th, we had an amazing opportunity to speak to the partners of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear about the importance of social media. Providing access to the #DetroitGP Social Media Toolkit, our team allows partners to easily navigate information about race weekend, tagging drivers on social channels, best practices for promotion, and ultimately sharing the power of storytelling to let the Detroit community shine.
The event took place at Gardner White Furniture’s Warren, Michigan location. Gardner White, the official partner powering our collective social media efforts, graciously hosted the social media summit and allowed speakers and partners to lounge on their extremely comfortable couches, including their newest launch, the Maverick.
Hosted by Detroit Grand Prix Director of Public Relations, Merrill Cain, speakers included Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear President Michael Montri, representatives from Gardner White, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Lear Corporation, Comerica, and KARMA jack President Joel Sellentine, Creative Director Jono Diener, and On-Air Personality Justin Rose.
Our team emphasized the power of storytelling through social media to connect brands with their communities. Joel Sellentine and Jono Diener shared insights on KARMA jack’s innovative approach, featuring videos KARMA jack has crafted with drivers Pato O’Ward and Tommy Milner, as well as Detroit Grand Prix Chairman Bud Denker. This creative content has already resonated with audiences and provided partners with new strategies for engaging their followers.
“We’ve been working very hard on the Detroit Grand Prix, and the results we’re seeing from both account analytics and the enthusiasm in the crowd are proof of our approach,” said KARMA jack Creative Director, Jono Diener. “Social media managers play a unique role in marketing, telling stories effectively and collaborating with each other. This summit demonstrated how a strong partnership can bring together brands and fans months before race weekend!”
Aside from the tactical approach, the event’s speakers all universally agreed on the importance of collaboration. When organizations work together, they can essentially move mountains in the marketing world. Some talking points included Comerica speaking on their Free Prix Day, allowing race fans the ability to witness the Grand Prix on Friday, May 31.
Lear touched on new interactive graphics and social media concepts, Cadillac spoke about new technology and innovations in the industry, and Chevrolet mentioned the importance of their Team Chevy drivers interacting with brands like Gardner White to promote the turbocharged weekend through a new series of commercials.
