One of the most important aspects of digital marketing is Search Engine Optimization, or SEO. SEO is the process of optimizing your website to rank higher in search engine results pages. The higher you are on Google, the more organic traffic your website gets. This leads directly to sales. 

There are a few types of SEO in marketing:

On page SEO in marketing – This involves strategically placing often-searched keywords directly into your page to ensure that you pop up when someone searches for those keywords. The more keywords you have, the higher your ranking. The higher your ranking, the easier it is to find your business.

Off page SEO in marketing – This refers to content that isn’t directly on your site, such as other websites linking to yours. Backlinking gives your page some more legitimacy in the eyes of the all-powerful Google algorithm. And of course, we all worship at the feet of the algorithm.

Technical SEO in marketing – This is all the stuff KARMA jack does on the back end. It’s the complicated techno-babble that involves how your page is coded and how images are defined. But even this leads to improved SEO scores.
